I have had a love of art art for many years in the early days, my artwork tended to be quite structured and detailed. I enjoyed drawing what I could see in front of me ,particularly working with pen and ink, but I found free expression and abstract more difficult.

That challenged when my desire to try a different, creative hobby led me to encaustic wax art.

It was a form of art I had never encountered before, and I was immediately intrigued. Working with heated wax opened up a completely different way of creating art and encouraged me to try to use my imagination more freely.

Today I am an artist based in Norwich, Norfolk, specialising in original encaustic wax artwork. I particularly enjoy the freedom to of working with wax and the beautiful colours, textures and unexpected effects it can produce. No two pieces are exactly the same, which is one of the things I love most about this fascinating medium.

Alongside encaustic wax, I also enjoy working with other artistic media, including acrylic, pen and ink and pencil,and I undertake bespoke commissions based on customers' ideas and photographs.

Through KDK Art, I create original artwork ranging from fantasy and traditional landscapes to abstract pieces and animal artwork.
